Toot and Tea
Irma School held their first Toot & Tea! Each student in the 5/6 band and the 7/8 band invited one adult guest to attend the afternoon where the students had only ONE HOUR to teach their guest how to play Jolly Old St. Nick on their instrument! Following the lesson, the students and their guests gathered in the gym where they were treated to a delicious light lunch and beverages made by the 7/8 Foods class with Mrs. Sinclair and Mrs. Poissant. The Adult band then performed their song together on the stage with their guest conductor Sebastien. The students then played after the adults the same song...with a twist. A huge thank you to all of the adults who were able to attend and were willing to accept the challenge of trying to learn a new instrument in an hour! We know that your kids are SO PROUD of you! And we are very proud of our students - you all were excellent hosts and teachers for the afternoon - well done!
