Bags for Breakfast
For every shopping bag you reuse at our local Irma Co-op, three cents is donated to the school division breakfast programs. Last year in the St Paul & Elk Point area, 1.35 million bags were diverted from the landfill & over $40,000 was donated to the School District from the Bags for Breakfast program! To kick-off this program, Co-op will be sending a breakfast bar package to Irma School.
Irma School encourages everyone to reuse their current plastic bags or use any recyclable bags when shopping! Bags for Breakfast is a proud part of Co-op’s overall commitment to social, environmental and community sustainability. By bridging recycling with school-breakfast programs, they’re working hard to reduce the impact on the environment, while increasing the impact on our communities.
Co-op is, and always will be, there.
